ICT as Medium for Advocacy
ICT ( Information and Communications Technology) has become widely used in all over the world especially for the schools that have been teaching their students using technology. ICT helps to provide information to the people by posting on the social media, spreading informative news online and many more.
ICT can also contribute to achieving universal education worldwide, through the delivery of education and training of teachers, improved professional skills, better conditions for lifelong learning, and the potential to reach people that are outside the formal education process.
Visual Aids
Visual aids are important for presentations. They can help to keep your audience engaged, make your point for you. There are types of visual aids are being used, presentation software, whiteboards and interpretation boards, flip charts, video and handouts.
TYPES OF VISUAL AIDS
1) Presentation Software - It is commonly used by students and teachers to present their outputs, reports and others. Example: PowerPoint
2) Whiteboards and interactive boards - is good for developing n explanation, diagrams and simple headings. They can also be used for recording interaction with, and comments from the audience during brainstorming sessions.
3) Flip Charts - can be prepared in advance and portable that doesn't require power source and no technical expertise. Flip charts are ideal for collecting ideas and responses from the audience and are good for spontaneous summaries.
4) Video - are particularly good for training purposes. Short videos can also be embedded into a PowerPoint presentation to make a point or provide an example.
5) Handouts - are not good for presentations and giving out handouts at the start of a talk will take time and audience may start to read these rather than listen to what speaker is saying.
